²Ø¾«¸ó will hold its annual celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. in a virtual format, Jan. 25–Feb. 5, 2021.

Following a successful five-year pilot study, ²Ø¾«¸ó will launch First@²Ø¾«¸ó, a program to provide essential support and resources for undergraduates who will be the first in their families to attain a degree from a four-year institution of higher education.

²Ø¾«¸ó President Brian W. Casey conferred degrees on members of the Class of 2020 during a virtual ceremony, streamed live from Memorial Chapel on Sunday, May 17.

Esther Rosbrook, assistant director of ²Ø¾«¸ó’s ALANA Cultural Center, will assume the director position on June 1. She is currently serving as the center’s assistant director.

Following a yearlong search, Karl Clauss ’90 has been named vice president for advancement, effective August 10, 2020.

The ²Ø¾«¸ó chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, the national collegiate honor society, has named Assistant Professor of Spanish Marta Perez-Carbonell as its Professor of the Year for 2020.
